HR4D-net (Health Research for Development) is a global email discussion group dedicated to promoting health research to improve the health of people in developing countries.
HR4D-net is administered and moderated by the Global Healthcare Information Network.During 2008, HR4D-net hosted the official electronic forum for the 2008 Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health, which was held in November 2008 in Bamako, Mali.
The Global Healthcare Information Network administers and moderates three other global email discussion forums:
1. HIFA2015 (Healthcare Information For All by 2015). Meeting the information and learning needs of family caregivers, primary health workers, and district health workers.
2. CHILD2015 (Child Healthcare Information and Learning Discussion-group):
Meeting the information and learning needs of family caregivers, primary health workers, and district health workers responsible for the care of the newborn, infants and children.
3. HIF-net (Health Information Forum) has a focus on access to information for health researchers and health professionals.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
HR4D-net was previously a collaboration of INASP (International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications) and the Global Forum for Health Research. Administration was transferred to GHI-net on 1st April 2009.
