The changes associated with the so-called Future of Work are expected to have important implications for SDC’s work. As development professionals, it is crucial for all of us to understand particularly the impact of digitalization on value chains, education systems (from basic education to vocational training or tertiary education and lifelong learning), skills and learning requirements, and employment over the next 10 to 20 years.

That is why the SDC’s Education and e+i Focal Points are organising an e-discussion on the Future of Work that will start on Monday 15 November and last until Thursday 25 November. We would like to hear from you: Do you already observe Future of Work changes in your context? In your opinion, how does SDC need to adapt its education or employment interventions in the context of the Future of Work? How can SDC assist partner countries in mitigating the associated risks for Leave No One Behind (LNOB) and Decent Work principles?
